Scrapper's Delight Easter Blog Hop!

It's here!  It's the Scrapper's Delight first birthday!  In celebration of this and of the Easter Holiday, we are holding this blog hop (details are below my project).  You should have arrived here from Lori's blog.  If so you are on the right path!  If not and you're lost, please go to the Scrapper's Delight Blog to start at the beginning.  We'd hate for you to miss anything!

For my project, I felt inspired to make my own Easter baskets!  This actually did not take that long to put together once I figured out what I was doing.  It is the perfect size to hold a couple of plastic eggs with candy and some grass!  I think it turned out so cute!

For this project, I used MANY things. The basket itself and fencing was from an SVG template.  I don't remember where I bought it now.
Cardstock from Bazzill and cardstock online
Cricut cartridges I used were Plantin Schoolbook, Stretch Your Imagination, Walk in my Garden, and Doodlecharms.
Copic Markers
Chalk
Flowers from Prima and Blue Hills Studios
Stickles, Brads and Ribbon

There is some great blog candy up for grabs!

In order to have a chance at winning this candy, you must follow our blog hop collecting the letters from the eggs lost by the Easter Bunny.  Once you've reached the last blog and collected all the letters (some blogs may have 2), unscramble them to reveal a well-known children's character.  Please also work out which famous children's book the character appeared in.  Following the link from the last blog, post your comment on our main Design Team blog with your answers with a link back to your blog so we may contact the winners.  While there, please also sign up for the Scrapper's Delight group as we have many giveaways, monthly swaps, and challenges going on.  The hop will close on April 4, 2010 and the winners will be announced on the 5th.

The next stop on the hop is Rebecca's blog!  When you're ready, continue the fun!!

Thankful for our Military

This card was created for the Design Team on Scrapper's Delight.  I live near Fort Knox, KY. At the hospital there, they have a division called the Wounded Warrior unit, where soldiers that sustained severe injuries go to recover because they cannot be sent home yet. Many times it is lonely for them because their families are not local. As part of a scout service project, we make cards for these soldiers just to let them know someone cares. I was inspired to use this image from Jessica Lynn Originals to make a card for these soldiers.
